• Investigation of point defects (color centers) in silicon carbide (SiC) for quantum technology applications
• Electrical and optical characterization of silicon carbide (SiC) for high power and electro-optical applications
• Eletrical characterization of epitaxial graphene and of devices fabricated on the basis of epitaxial graphene
• Research data management: structured electronic lab notebooks in research and teaching, FAIR experimental data (within the FAIRmat NFDI consortium and the FAU Competence Center for Research Data and Information)
• Development of the open-source measurement and experiment control software NOMAD CAMELS
• Head of the Electronic Lab Course for Physics Students at the Departments of Physics
